Stories of Broken People Meeting God

Over the years, clients would come in with a particular book in mind and ask for my opinion.  It's pretty typical that the book would be in the "self-help" or "pop-psychology" aisle .  If Oprah said it, it must be the gospel (not).

In those rare opportunities that a non-churched person come in and want to talk about God & Spirituality, my senses tingle - in a good way.

The book "The Shack" was part of one particular session.  It was enlightening to gain a perspective of the non-churched.

What moved me and pained me at the same time was when the person said that God was so Real in the story that one wishes that it was true.

I was stunned!  Rendered Speechless.  A rare form for me.  I do talk for a living.

Whoa...What are we not doing as believers that cause such doubts in the people who have yet to realize God's Realness?

As I search within and without for some answers, I came across a few examples of people who are willing to bridge this gap by sharing stories.
