Fun Thursday - From Veggies to Civil War

We are a family of "Brown Thumbs."
Nothing green ever grow survive in our home.  The best looking plants will sure to be plastic.

So we love going to pick your own fruit and veggies farms.  We feel more alive and productive.
We "pretend" nature might possibility thrive under our finger tips.

Underwood Family Farms is one of our favorites places ever since the kiddies were babies.  http://www.underwoodfamilyfarms.com/moorpark.html

It's less than an hour from us and it's everything you would imagine a working farm would be.
Animals, patches of vegetables, fruit trees, seasonal themes, wagon rides and a wonderful ground for kids to play in.

Upcoming in November (11/12 & 11/13/2011), it will host the annual Civil War Battle Reenactment.
Sponsored by The Rotary Club of Moorpark.
It is billed as the Largest and Grandest Civil War Battle Reenactment West of the Mississippi.
