Be Positive - It Can Make Life More Fulfilling!

Working as a Psychotherapist, I am at time forced to see people at their worst. I am asked by others if I have ever worked with someone I dislike.

My answer has always been, "There is at least one thing I can find that is likable in everyone."

In the last decade, a new emerging movement in the field of psychology identify as Positive Psychology.

Its emphasis is shifting away from the disease model and building toward the following 3 areas.

- Human Strengths
- Building Human Strengths
- Building Human Strengths Toward Making Life More Fulfilling

Googling Positive Psychology will point you toward

Positive Psychology is the scientific study of the strengths and virtues that enable individuals and communities to thrive. The Positive Psychology Center promotes research, training, education, and the dissemination of Positive Psychology. This field is founded on the belief that people want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within themselves, and to enhance their experiences of love, work, and play.

Here is an intriguing introduction to the subject.
