Good Eats - July 4th - Grilled Steaks

Grilling - The Art, The Talent, The Skills (Of The Man of The House).

Funny how seriously men take their grills and grilling. So I would not dare to touch on the subject matter.

So for Good Eats Monday...I will offer up my "Smoky Grilled Steak Marinade." And I might as well tell you Now the secret ingredient...Liquid Smoke!

Grilling is fast and hot, so often we miss out on the smokiness BBQing would offer.  We don't want our steak to be like chewing rubber.  In comes the "Liquid Smoke."

You can marinade overnight or just for a couple of hours.  And Yes...we ladies promise to not touch "the grill."

Smoky Grilled Steak Marinade – For 4 Steaks

¼ cup olive oil (not extra virgin)
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2-3 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke (my secret ingredient)
Salt & fresh cracked pepper to taste
