What song would you pick for 2011?
A song of your experiences...
A symbol of your journey...
A companion of your thoughts...
Mine would have to be Hillsong's Forever Reign.
2011 would almost be non-descriptive and unremarkable if you look too fast.
It was "All" about the daily grinds.
It was making a living; cooking the meals; caring for the children; fostering relationships; doing life.
Nothing extraordinary bad nor marvelously good.
It was good to be reminded,
He is good.
He is light.
He is peace.
He is joy.
He is more.
He is here.
I can deal with crisis and I know how to celebrate.
It is the everyday(ness) of life that trips me up.
At times, it just feels like the everyday(ness) of life is "not enough."
Then the song goes on with,
I am running to your arms.
The riches of your love will always be enough.
Nothing compares to your embrace.
It is about being enough, feeling enough, having enough.
When I look closer and slow it down...
It is true...Love will always make everyday life be "good enough."
