The Failure Club...To Succeed You Must First Fail

It's a Difficult lesson to learn.

As a parent, I fight the concept of failure.
I fight it in myself, my children, in my relationships.
Yet, over and over, the message is...

Failures are the Building Blocks of Success.

Came across this website - The Failure Club - http://thefailureclub.org/
The premise is that failures need not be a social stigma.  Instead of avoiding them, members are encouraged to work toward failing.

"In the Failure Club, members learn to defy the fears associated with 'failure' by pursuing seemingly impossible goals that they set for themselves.  From the outset, failure is not only a highly probable outcome, it is the desired outcome."

Famous Failures

In order to join The Failure Club, a person must be willing to commit to a specific desired project for a year. Be a part of a pod (support group/book club like meetings). Be ready to fail and welcome a new found sense of freedom of no longer fearing failures.

Yahoo Screen is about to start a series of webisodes following 7 members of The Failure Club in New York City.  http://screen.yahoo.com/women/failure-club/
