Personally, it is an interesting look into the the relationship between the two great minds of our time.
The work of Freud is such an influence to Jung. Yet the result is a wider variation. Yes...it's still about the suppressed, repressed sexual impulses. It's still without the necessary and appropriate boundaries. What they did then would never fly in the face of current days legal and ethical requirement. And I am so very very glad for that.
Yet, at the beginning of everything field, it's an exploration process of the subject matter and of the self. Innovation would not be innovative if it didn't start with the person and the internal process of the person. There are always reason for the drive, the passion, the pursuit. Some might say that it's all because of Freud's and Jung's own issues. But why not?
