French Word of The Day - Macaron

Macaron...Almond flour + Sugar + Egg white
Simple ingredients with Extraordinary result.
Have to be honest, I have eaten many and have yet to try to create such beauties.

If I only get to put one destination on my bucket list, France would be it. Paris, Nice, Marseilles, Lyon and of course Bordeaux.  Any of these would do.

Since High School French class, it has been "The Destination" for me.  Remembered none of the vocabulary, but kept the visual fantasy of someday I will set foot on that land of colorful people and colorful land.

Twice, it came close, but life got in the way.  So I will continue to put spare change into the "Paris" piggy bank.  I will continue to check for airfare on those discount travel websites.  And someday I will set foot on that land where colorful Macarons will be at every corner bakeries.

Until then, I will travel via the lives of others, the words of those who are natives and feast upon the pictures of those who capture its essence.
