The Horse Boy - Autism Awareness Month

April 2011 is National Autism Month.

As the month is drawing to an end, as many others have told their stories online and otherwise, I would like to bring attention to a particular journey of one family.  It has been made into a documentary.  The driving force of this story has been a father's quest to bring understanding to his son's inner world.

You can hear an interview of Rupert Isaacson describing this journey with his son Rowan online.

From that brief interview, I was moved, intrigued, saddened, and become hopeful all at the same time.  Hope this will add another dimension to the subject of Autism.  And encourage you to be more aware of the faces and stories and lives of those being impacted.
