We LOVE the Ocean

We Love the Ocean.  We love it up and down the coast of California.

But many a times we found ourselves in Ventura, CA.

Now, it is one of the closest coastal towns by us.  It's only 45 minutes from where we live.  Yet, there is something about this town.

It is not as beautiful and flawless as Santa Barbara.  It is not as glitzy as Orange County and definitely not as scenic as San Diego.

The beaches are kind of rocky; it's overcast more often than we would like.  The main streets are in the process of being revitalized.  Homelessness is in plain view.  The mom and pop shops are right next to the big name staples.  So what's the attraction...I think for us,  it is Very Genuine & Real.  A real town with real people and real struggles.

It is a perfect example of a slice of real life.  Every time we go there, there are things that we have to explain to our kids about people and about life.  We can't help but to discuss life lessons.  Guess that is what keep us going back again and again.  On top of that, in the summer,  it is about 20 degrees cooler than where we live.

So today, Ventura, CA is an inspiration to me.
It is a very "COOL" town in my book.
Go Find Some Place Fun & Different to Visit...and Enjoy the Diversity in Life
